Ergoflow’s consulting services are provided by Kirsten Willms, M.Sc.

Kirsten is a Canadian Certified Professional Ergonomist (CCPE) with over 10 years’ experience working exclusively in the field of ergonomics. She is a skilled professional in office and industrial ergonomics, workplace systems analysis, ergonomics programs, and user interface design in industries ranging from oil & gas, municipalities, public transit, health services, call centres, and manufacturing. Kirsten also has experience within defense and engineering organizations where she has contributed to work environment design, product design, GUI design, and system integration projects with large multidisciplinary teams.  She is well versed in the engineering design process and is proficient in human factors requirements generation, task analysis, function allocation, assessment techniques, usability testing and qualification testing.

Kirsten completed her undergraduate degree at Simon Fraser University in Kinesiology, specializing in ergonomics and human factors and working for five coop terms.  Her Master’s degree was undertaken at the University of Waterloo, specializing in ergonomics and occupational biomechanics. Her research has explored the use of gloves and their effect on workers, visual display distance and physical symptoms, and participatory ergonomics.

Kirsten has been an active member of the Association of Canadian Ergonomists since 2006, filling various roles within the Prairie & Northern regional council including two terms as Regional President. She also chaired the ACE 2013 National Conference.

Kirsten lives in Calgary with her husband Jeremy, and two kids Raina and Erik.
